El-Geneina , August 4(Darfur24) Two herders were killed and another one  was seriously injured  in Bir Nesbih area in Sirba locality, 60 km north of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state.

 

The Executive Director of Sirba locality, Abdel Razek Mohamed Ali, said in statements to Darfur 24 that armed clashes took place between nomadic herders and an armed group in the Bir Sebiya area, which is located on the border strip between Sudan and Chad.

From time to time, looting and theft are active by some armed groups in the border strip of pastoralist livestock due to insecurity.

 

For its part, the Higher Coordination of nomads and herders in West Darfur said in a statement that armed cross-border militias from Chad attacked the Boz nomad south of Bir Saliba area, resulting in the killing of two people, Hamdan Issa Juma and Muhammad Ali, while another was seriously wounded.

 

The nomad coordination described the joint forces responsible for securing the border strip between Sudan and Chad as slow in moving with regard to the attacks on the nomadic areas in the border strip between the two countries.
