El-Daein,August 6(Darfur24) Today, authorities in East Darfur state arrested five people, including a mayor from the Maalia tribe, accused of killing three farmers and wounding two others from Rezigakat tribe on Friday in Badi area of Abu Karenka locality.
The Executive Director of Abu Karnaka locality, Nur al-Daim al-Bushra, told Darfur 24 that the arrest of the suspect, and the deployment of military forces to establish the prestige of the state in the adjacent areas between the two tribes, restored the security situation to normal, and pledged to arrest everyone whose name was mentioned among those involved in the crime.
Yesterday, “Badi” area witnessed the killing of 3 people from the Rizeigat tribe and the injury of 2 others in a shooting by gunmen from the Ma’alia tribe due to a dispute over the ownership of agricultural land.
