Nyala, August 31(Darfur24) Yesterday, Tuesday, the Buram  General Court, headed by Judge Hani Muhammad, sentenced  three people to death by hanging .

The three defendant were convicted of killing a man and looting his property in Buram locality , 150km south of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State.

A relative of the deceased , named Ibrahim Adam, told Darfur 24 that  in  October of last year, Omar al-Sayed was returning from the market of the city of Buram to his home in the Baba area,  five people stopped him, looted his possession at gunpoint  and killed him on the spot.

 He said that the dead man’s body was found the next morning, and the case was reported  to the Buram Police Department, and the perpetrators were arrested and  judicially admitted committing the  crime.

A police source in the area told Darfur 24 that the three convicts were forming a criminal network active in looting and killing on the outskirts of the city and a source of concern to the police, stressing that the court decision of sentencing them to death found satisfaction among the citizens.
