Nyala, December 24( Darfut24)3 people were killed and two others were wounded in the border town of Um Dafoukn on Sudanese- Central Africa border on Saturday , after being shot by members of the Rapid Support Forces RSF near the city market.
The deputy executive director of the Umm Dafouk locality, Yasser Idris al-Banani, told Darfur24 that a force from the Rapid Support Forces RSF arrived at the locality of Um-Dafouk on a mission that he was not aware of, so they chased 3 young men who were on motorbikes near the local market, and shot at them , killing both of them on spot as well as another man who was passing by.
He stated that the citizens of the city took the dead bodies to the locality HQs , and handed over a memorandum demanding the arrest of the perpetrators and the exit of the Rapid Support Forces from the locality.
Howwever, a senior security official told Darfur 24 that a force from the Rapid Support Forces was dispatched from the state HQs in the middle of this week to combat the so-called (negative phenomena).
He added, “Today, Saturday, three unruly youths came carrying weapons and riding a motorcycle, and when the force tried to stop them, they refused to obey, so the force fired in the air to force them to stop, but they exchanged fire, so the forces shot at them, killing two of them and arresting the third.”
