El-Daein, April 4(Darfur24)An officer affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces RSF was killed and three of his soldiers were wounded in armed clashes with armed gang Tuesday ,in the Um Warqat area, 20 kilometers west of El Daein, the capital of East Darfur state.
Omda Musa Siara told Darfur 24 that the incident occurred this afternoon when a gang looting sheep exchanged fire with the owners of the looted animals .
He added: While the officer, Al-Taher Rabeh, was passing on the public road in Umm Warqat area, owner of the looted sheep stopped him and asked the officer to arrest the gang members.
After the incident, relatives of the shepherd pursued the bandits that consisted of three people, arrested them and handed them over to East Darfur State Police .
