April 16(Darfur 24)Today, Sunday, the UN Security Council called on the parties to the conflict in Sudan for an immediate ceasefire.

Members of the Security Council called on the parties to immediately stop hostilities, restore calm and return to dialogue to resolve the current crisis in Sudan,” the statement said

 

Clashes between the army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, which broke out on Saturday and are still ongoing, have killed 56 people and injured about 600 others.
