El-geneina, September 12 (Darfur24)5 Arab nomads, including two children were killed Monday in Enjimi area, 25 kilometers southwest of the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State, after they were shot by unknown gunmen.

Sources told Darfur 24 that unidentified gunmen attacked the Enjimi area and fired a barrage of bullets at the nomads, killing 5 people, including two children aged between 10 and 13 years, and their father, while another was wounded.

Initial information indicates that the perpetrators were 9 armed men who infiltrated the Chadian border, at a time when the Chadian authorities promised to pursue and arrest the perpetrators, calling on the families of the dead to be patient and calm.

 

 

At the same level, the incident led to security tensions and gathering of armed men in the border areas, and a Darfur 24 correspondent reported that the bodies of the dead were transported to the city of El Geneina, while the injured person was admitted to a hospital in El Geneina.
