Nyala , October 24(Darfur 24) Bloody clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces RSF escalated on Tuesday in the city of Nyala, the provincial capital of South Darfur State, for the second day in a row in the vicinity of the army command Headquarters in the center of the city, amid reports of military aircraft intervention.

This time RSF waging its war with the Sudanese army in Nyala under the supervision of RSF second commander Lieutenant General Abdul Rahim Dagalo, who arrived in the city two weeks ago.

According to Darfur 24, the Rapid Support Forces RSF were able to take control of the Army Warehouse Command and the Medical Hospital, which is close to the Division Command.

The renewed fighting between the two sides comes after a relative calm for several weeks, as the Rapid Support Forces attempt to control the command of the 16th Infantry Division, which has eluded them since the outbreak of the war last April.

Residents told Darfur 24 that they had seen columns of smoke rising in the vicinity of the army command since this morning, and that the battles had left dozens of civilians dead. A resident of the northern neighborhoods stated that residents of the Kango neighborhood adjacent to the battle area had buried 32 bodies as a result of the fighting.

While residents saw warplanes in the sky of the city, at a time when several neighborhoods witnessed a large displacement movement to areas far from the clashes.

While a resident of the southern neighborhoods reported that Al-Wahda Hospital in the south of the city has become the only one receiving the injured, and he added: The health situation has collapsed, and the wounded are everywhere in the hospital, lying on the ground and others waiting for surgical operations.

Noting that the two government educational and specialized hospitals were completely out of service, in addition to the Sudanese-Turkish hospital announcing it would be out of work for a period of 7 days due to damage to the sterilization device.
