El Geneina, December 7( Darfur 24) The governor of West Darfur announced Thursday formation of a joint force comprised of rapid support forces and police forces to resolve all forms of negative phenomena and security chaos in the state.
The state government issued an emergency order, under which it authorized the police forces to begin their work and use the necessary force to suppress the unruly people and fight all forms of negative phenomena in order to impose state authorities in the state.
Karshoum told Darfur 24 that this decision comes to enhance peace, tranquility and public safety for citizens after the police forces returned to their activities.
Police Director, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Muhammad Zakaria, said that they found a great welcome from the citizens, which encouraged them to carry out their duties.
He pointed out that 227 police officers inside the city of El Geneina reported to work in three police stations in the city.
