Cairo , March 31 (Darfur 24)
Assistant Chairman of the National Umma Party, Rabah Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, said on Saturday that the statements issued by the party do not represent it because of their focus on violations by one of the parties to the fighting, declaring her disavowal of them.

The Umma Party is in the midst of disagreements related to the position on the war and its position in the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces “Taqaddum” coalition.

Rabah Al-Sadiq said, in a statement posted on her Facebook account, that the Umma Party decided to reject the war since its outbreak and take the same distance from both sides.

She pointed out that the data published on the party’s verified Facebook account violates the war resolution of neutrality, calling for those responsible for it to be referred to party accountability.

It reported that the page administrators refused to publish a statement issued by the Special Coordination Council rejecting civil authority in the state of Gezira, which includes some members of the party, under the pretext of the illegality of its meetings.

The unpublished statement announced the Umma Party’s rejection of all formations and administrations that have resulted from the emergency situations since the outbreak of the war, vowing to hold accountable those who join or participate in the civilian administrations formed by the parties to the war.

Rabah said, “The issued statements do not represent the National Umma Party and stain its face by remaining silent about one party’s violations and focusing on the other party’s violations. The day of reckoning for them will come soon, and until then I disavow them.”
