Identical sources in the Sudanese army and the Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Minni Arko Minawi, revealed the start of the attack on Al-Jazira State from several axes to reclaim it from the control of the Rapid Support Forces RSF.

Senior army source told “Darfur 24” that the operations were launched simultaneously from axes; East – Al-Faw, South – Sennar, West and Al-Manaqil.

The source indicated that the directives of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief; Shams al-Din Kabbashi’s order not to photograph was circulated to all axes, while fierce battles took place on the eastern axis in the areas of “Al-Araybab, Al-Sharif and Wad Al-Abyad.”

For his part, a source in the Sudan Liberation Movement revealed to “Darfur 24” that the movement participated with two battalions that were equipped in the Al-Faw axis, while the Justice and Equality Movement, led by Jibril Ibrahim, participated with more than 30 military vehicles.

The Rapid Support Forces took control of the city of Maddani, the capital of Al-Jazira State, last December after the sudden withdrawal of the army’s First Division.
