Several parties in Al-Geneina city have said    rapid support Forces RSF are fighting alongside the Arab tribes in the armed conflict that broke out Sunday evening against the Masalit tribe, while other parties have confirmed the  mutiny of police in the city center and its siding with Masalit tribe.

The acting  Sultan of Dar Masalit,  Asaad Baharuddin said to Darfur 24 that he had been told by his tribal leaders that gunmen belonging to the Rapid Support Forces on board cars (Toyota Hilux) had  participated in the attack on Krinding IDP camp, ( scene of first fighting on Sunday and Monday).

However, one of the Arab leaders, called Ibrahim Mokhtar , told Darfur 24 that a police patrol closed the city center  separating the northern part of the city from the western one and began shooting at anyone suspected of belonging to the Arabs after disobeying orders of their  commanders, meanwhile, the security committee of the state seemed unable to bring the situation under control.

Darfur 24 was not able to speak to commanders of  rapid support forces and the police to confirm the allegations. However, activists have said  that most of the police affiliates hail from Masalit tribe, while the vast majority of rapid support forces  members belong to Arab tribes, a matter that makes it easy for them to fight alongside their tribe men.
