Nyala, September 17( Darfur240 Three displaced people IDPS in Otash camp in Nyala, capital of South Darfur, were killed when a room collapsed on them due to heavy rains that hit the city on Friday evening.

 Head of Otash IDP camp sheikhs , Abdel Razek Hassan Jales, told Darfur 24 that the dead were two young brothers and the wife of one of them, who is seven months pregnant. He stated that the death occurred when a room collapsed on them during the rain.

Jales said that the rains led to the collapse of more than 3,000 houses and about 2,500 latrines .

The head of the Autumn Emergency Committee in the state, Engineer Al-Tayeb Abdel Rahman, confirmed that the rain that fell yesterday evening in the city of Nyala led to the death of three people in the Otash camp, in addition to causing losses in a number of neighborhoods of the city of Nyala, and the torrents swept away asphalt of the airport road in the city.
