February 6, 2020 (Elfashir) A person, who had been in China and was suspected of possibly having the coronavirus, has tested negative for the deadly disease, the Ministry of Health and Social Development in North Darfur said.
The traveler who had recently come from China was admitted to Elfashir teaching hospital, suspected of having coronavirus.
The patient was suffering from an inflammatory condition in the respiratory system, and after reviewing the medical history, it became clear that he had been to China.
The Ministry of Health mobilized a medical and health team from its emergency department to deal with the case, where the person was isolated and blood samples taken and sent to the National Public Health Laboratory in Khartoum.
