March 2, 2020 (Elfashir) A high-level delegation from the European Union and the Sudanese Foreign Ministry visited Zamzam camp for the displaced people (15 km) south of the city of El Fasher on Sunday evening.
However, community leaders of Zamzam IDP camp in North Darfur, handed over a note Sunday to the Vice-President of the European Union Commission Joseph Borel, calling for the necessity of disarming the Janjaweed militias and the rapid support forces, as well as expelling the new settlers from the lands that they have occupied since the outbreak of the civil war in Darfur.
According to the note that extended to Darfur 24, IDP community leaders urged the visiting European officials ,to provide support and assistance to IDPs, besides finding durable solutions to all crisis of the country.
