March 19, 2020(Nyala) South Darfur government  has stepped up its precautionary measures to prevent entry of the Coronavirus. However, South darfur  state governor,Major General Hashim Khalid said that the state has not yet registered any suspected cases of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hashim revealed that  the government had  dispatched 100 vehicles, carrying joint forces from the armed forces and rapid support forces  to close Sudan’s border with Chad ,Central African Republic and South Sudan.

The measures have been taken to  prevent coronavirus from entering the country.

The governor of the state formed a supreme committee to confront the dangers of the Coronavirus affliction and prevent its entry into the state. Health authorities, in coordination with its partners in humanitarian organizations working in the health field, developed a plan to confront Cronavirus.
