April 16, 2020 (Khartoum)  Sudan’s  Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdouk,   issued a decision on Thursday,  dismissing  the governor of Khartoum State, Lieutenant General Ahmed Abdoun Hammad.The decision to sack the governor, came  amid suspicious moves by  elements of former Sudanese president Omar  Al-Bashir in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

Hamdouk has  instructed the Minister of  Federal Government  to take over  functions of the governor of Khartoum State until a new governor is appointed.

Meanwhile  , supporters of the former Sudanese president Omar Albashir took to the streets in the  capital  Khartoum, Thursday , until they reached  vicinity of the army Headquaters , before the police intervened and dispersed them by force.
