May 3, 2020 (Khartoum) US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Tibor Nagy, has congratulated Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdouk, the  Chairman of IGAD, on the  efforts exerted by  member states, and the  special envoy, Ismail Wany, for their continued interest in the success of the peace process and the transition in southern Sudan.
In a statement seen by Darfur24, Tibor lauded the recent IGAD virtual meeting  on  South Sudan.
The senior American figure said the meeting took place despite the global challenges posed by Corvid-19
However, Nagy stressing his country’s keenness to continue its efforts with IGAD to achieve common goals.
“when peace, security and justice are sustained, foreign investment will take place in Sudan” Tibor Concluded.
