A delegation from the International Criminal court ICC, consisting of  twelve  people, arrived in Khartoum on Sunday.

The high profile delegation includes the Deputy Prosecutor, investigators, and specialists in cases of violation of the rights of women and children.

However, the visiting ICC delegation met both the Sudanese Minister of Justice, Nasruddin Abdul-and acting minister of foreign affairs Omar Qamar al-Din.

ICC  Deputy Prosecutor General, Vaxjo Mushushoku, commended the Minister of Justice for assisting investigators by facilitating the collection of evidence required for the cases currently before the court.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Criminal Court agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding in the future between the two parties, with the aim of clarifying the form of cooperation and facilitating the tasks of delegations and overcoming the difficulties that could face them in the future.

For his part,  Justice Minister Nasruddin Abdel Bari said that state agencies are conducting “a discussion to discuss the best means of cooperation between Sudan and the ICC Prosecutor’s Office.
