May 17, 2020 (El-Geneina) Gunmen have abducted 18 people from  Beida
village in West Darfur state.
However, the kidnapping operation came in response to the killing of
the abductees’ relative, whose body was found near the village of the
kidnappers.
“Armed people  were looking for someone missing for  two days, and
when they arrived near the village of “Khair Wajid” that  located near
Baida, 120kms, south of Al-Geneina, they found the body of their
missing persons” eyewitness told Darfur24.
“The gunmen, demanded that the villagers hand them over the killer or
immediately the pay the “Diaya” blood money, and when the residents of
the village refused to do so, the gunmen kidnapped 18 people and
refused to release them unless  paying the blood money or handing
them over the killer” eyewitness added”

Meanwhile, Darfur 24 learned that security forces arrived at the
scene, after the abductors had left the area taking with them the
abductees
