8.12.2021(El-Fashir) An unknown armed group abducted on Tuesday evening from downtown El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, two foreigners working for the Turkish company in El Fasher , and took them to an unidentified destination.
The phenomenon of kidnapping foreigners was widespread in a region by armed groups asking for ransom in exchange for their release, but it disappeared years ago before returning again yesterday. Darfur24 learned that the kidnappers demanded a ransom after releasing the vehicle driver.
The governor of the region, Minni Arko Minawi, regretted the return of the abduction phenomenon to the region, he tweeted, “I am sorry and the entire human conscience regrets that Turks working in the service of Darfur have been kidnapped in the presence of security services.
“The kidnappers are requested to return them safely and not to inflict any harm on these innocents” Minnawi concluded
