El-Daein, December 3(Darfur24)The sultans of Krio refugee camp  in East Darfur State , handed over six refugees  from the state of South Sudan accused of killing a Sudanese citizen to Abu Matariq district police in Bahr al-Arab locality.

 

Sultan Deng Mao told Darfur 24, “We reached a reconciliation agreement with the local administration in the region, according to which we hand over the suspects to the police, with a confession  of committing the crime of killing a citizen and injuring two who were with him.”

 

Based on the agreement reached , leaders of the local administration in the area must commit not to attack the refugee camp that houses refugees from the republic of South sudan and work to restore calm to the camp.

 

One of the mayors of the host area, Brahim Mahmoud, said that the case was settled by handing over the accused, and if the family of the dead citizen chose blood money, the refugees must pay it.

 

On Monday and Tuesday of last week, the Krio camp for southern refugees witnessed a killing incident, following a fight with white weapons that took place between members of  refugees from South Sudan and the host community, which claimed the life of one person from the latter and the injury of six from both sides.
