The Sudanese Transitional Government has announced the allocation of 40% of the revenues of the two regions, “Blue Nile and South Kordofan”, to the government of the region, while 60%has beenallocated for the federal government to address development issues in the two regions.

The Transitional government and  SPLM-North headed by Malik Aqar, reached, in late April, memo of understanding on the outstanding issues, such as the files of power and wealth in addition to the
security arrangements file.

In a related development, Sudan’s  government delegation to the negotiations, headed by Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi and the SPLM-North led by Malik Aqar  held on Thursday, a negotiation
session, via video conference , at the Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum, in the presence of the  mediation team  from the South, headed by the Adviser to the President of the South Sudan for Security AffairsA.
Member of the government delegation, Maulana Ismail Al-Taj, said in a press statement that it was agreed to hold a conference at the end of the transitional period that includes the parties, mediation and
stakeholders, to determine a fixed percentage after the first ten years of the agreement.
