March 16, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan has  allowed for the first time, the Chilean Latam Airlines, which operates direct flights between Latin America and Israel, to fly over  Sudan airspace on its flights to Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, the first flight  over  Sudan airspace will take place tomorrow, Tuesday,  in a significant breakthrough in the Sudanese-Israeli relationship, according to i24news website.  The new route,   Latin America compan’s planes, will reduce two hours from the 13-hour journey from Latin America to Israel.  Under the new route, the company’s planes will fly to Israel over Cameroon, Central Africa, Sudan and Egypt. The website revealed last month that an Israeli plane had made a direct flight from Kinshasa in the DRC to Israel through the Sudanese airspace.  For its part, the Israeli media described the decision to allow  aircraft heading to Israel  fly over Sudanese airspace, is  a historic step.
