Darfur 24 learned that the African Union and United Nations Mission (UNAMID) informed the government of South Darfur that it’s Incapable to apprehend the people behind kalma IDP camp incident.
The Sudanese government held UNAMID mission responsible for the pursuit and arrest of the perpetrators, by virtue of its responsibility to secure the camp and protect the displaced people.
Sudanese government and the Security Council have authorized UNAMID mission to provide protection for displaced people within Kalma camp since the incident of 2008, in Kalma, which claimed the lives of
scores of people.
The Information Office of the Governor of South Darfur State , announced that a security meeting between the state government and the leaders of UNAMID mission would take place on Monday, at eleven
in the morning , to discuss the fate of Kalma incident perpetrators
