June 22, 2020-Ethiopian militias supported by the Ethiopian army launched an attack on the Sudanese army camp, which resulted in casualties among the Sudanese armed forces.

The attack took place on Sunday in   Anfal camp , eastern Sudan, on the border with the State of Ethiopia, where the attacking Ethiopian forces used armored vehicles and launchers, however,  the Sudanese
army managed  to  repel it, forcing the aggressors to retreat and withdraw.

According to various media outlets, the attack resulted in injury of a number of Sudanese soldiers, While no official authority in Sudan or Ethiopia confirmed or denied the incident .

This attack comes just one day after a two-day visit by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice-President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council to Ethiopia, where he discussed with officials in Addis Ababa issues
of common concern, especially the issues of the borders and the Renaissance Dam, according to Sudanese media sources .

A similar cross-border attack  had occurred 3 weeks ago, when Ethiopian militias launched  attack, killing a Sudanese officer with the rank of captain in an area on the border between the two
countries
