June 24, 2020 (El-Geneina) The death toll from the fighting, in the northern areas of West Darfur state, has risen to 16, and ten wounded, while the border strip has witnessed large tribal  gatherings , according to eyewitnesses.

Darfur24, correspondent from El-Geneina, reported that one of the wounded Sudanese shepherds died after arriving at El-Geneina Hospital, bringing the number of deaths of the Sudanese shepherds to nine, while
two wounded people underwent surgical operation. Beside 7 dead from the  Chadian side.

” The border area between Sudan and Chad witnessed large tribal build-up on both sides, which increased the degree of tension in the region”Darfur24 reporter added.

However, Darfur 24 learned that the Rapid Support Forces( RSF) have deployed large forces to the incident area to maintain peace and security .

The cause of this problem remains unclear. While some sources indicate that the cause of the problem was the entry of stolen cattle from Chadto Sudanese territory, and after tracing  the perpetrators inside Sudan, the clashes occurred, but ,there are other sources indicating that the Chadian gunmen tried to take  revenge of  their leader who was killed two months ago In Beidda area.
