July 5, 2020 Two people were killed and scores more injured on Sunday
, in a road accident near 7kms from Nartati.
“Over hundred people, were on board a truck on their way from
Nyala to Nartiti, to participate in the sit-in, on Sunday, when the
driver suddenly lost control and the lorry overturned, killing two
and wounding dozens more” eyewitness, Sadig told Darfur24 .
However, the second accident occurred at the same site, less than an
hour later, in which one person died and several passengers were
injured.
Nertati sit-in ,has entered its eighth day, the residents are
protesting against the exposure of citizens to cases of killing and
rape by armed men.
However, the protesters are calling for the change of members of the
local security committee.
