August 17, 2020 (Khartoum) The governor of Khartoum, Khaled Nimer, has
expressed his regret for  what happened to the protesters’ processions
today in Khartoum by the police, who fired sound bombs and tear gas to
disperse the peacful  demonstrators.

However, the Marches come one year after the signing of the
constitutional document between forces for  freedom and  change and
the military component.

The processions reached the gate of the Council of Ministers with the
purpose of handing over a memorandum to the Prime Minister, Dr.
Hamdouk.

The governor of Khartoum said in a statement received by Darfur 24,
“I express my deep regret over the incidents that occurred during the
peaceful procession”
