The Crown Hotel in Juba witnessed Wednesday, the resumption of
negotiation sessions on the file of security arrangements  between the
Sudanese government and the armed struggle movements.

August 20, 2020 -The Sudanese government delegation headed by Major
General Yassin Ibrahim Yassin, Minister of Defense, informed
delegation of the armed struggle movements, (Darfur track), that the
body responsible for modernizing and developing the armed forces is
the Security and Defense Council and that the armed struggle movements
will participate, through  power-sharing , in the process of
reforming, modernizing and developing the military and security
institutions.

Minister Yassin ,said that the session discussed  integration of  the
forces  through verification, classification , arrangement mechanisms
and  training.

Major General Yassin announced that the negotiations were proceeding
well and in full swing, stressing the determination of the two parties
to overcome all obstacles and points of disagreement, praising the
response and cooperation of the negotiating delegation of the armed
struggle movements.

” the agreement on security arrangements is the basis for the peace
process” yassin added.

State of South Sudan mediation team,    announced that Friday, August
28, 2020, will witness signing of a Comprehensive Peace Agreement
between the Sudanese government and the Revolutionary Front Alliance.
