Power outage in El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, due to the lack of operating fuel, has led to a complete paralysis of basic services in the city.

The administration of El Geneina Power Station announced last Saturday the arrival of four vehicles carrying enough fuel for six days of operation.

The director of Al-Geneina power station, Eng. Hassan Fateh Al-Rahman, said that the station suffers from a complete shortage of fuel, and that the quantities that arrive very few are not sufficient
for the continuation of the electrical supply, pointing out that the station consumes more than 180 barrels of fuel daily.

Meanwhile, the water supply service to residential neighborhoods was stopped for more than two weeks due to being affected by the power outage, and the transmission of Al-Geneina Radio decreased in the
morning from two hours to one hour and in the evening from three hours to two hours, and the civil registry services stopped for more than ten days.
