October 28, 2020 (Khartoum)The First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, said that corruption is a major cause of the collapse of the economy, and called for fighting it for the sake of the country’s development and renaissance.

“We need effective economic policies and fighting corruption for the renaissance of our country” Hemeti added.

Dagalo acknowledged that the economic problems the country is witnessing is a result of the government’s economic policies.

Meanwhile, delegation of the Political and Security Committee of the Government of Southern Sudan, comprising Ministers and military experts arrived in Khartoum Wednesday.

Dagalo said that he discussed with the southern delegation the future of the two countries and working together for economic integration at the level of ports and free zones.

The First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council considered the visit of the southern delegation to Sudan a strategic act and the beginning of economic cooperation at the level of ports and free zones.

Dagalo stressed the need for the two countries to cooperate with regard to production to create a serious spirit of work for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, and renewed Sudan’s determination to support and implement the Southern Peace Agreement.
