Darfur 24 learned from reliable sources that armed clashes broke out between armed men from the Fallata and Rizeigat tribes, today, Monday, in the areas of Abu Al-Ela and Al-Tawil, east of Gereida, South Darfur.
A local leader from the area, Muhammad Saleh, told Darfur 24 that the attack killed 5 people and wounded 3 others.
“Residents of the attacked area, managed to capture people from the attackers, some of whom carried documents confirming their affiliation with the Rapid Support Forces” Mohamed Saleh added..
A leading figure in the area , Dr. Mohamed Ali Torshin, stated that the Abulala district community leaders had contacted the government and informed it of the presence of the armed crowds, so the government sent a military force consisting of 10 four-wheel drive vehicles to protect the area.
Meanwhile, the secretary of the native Administration of the Fallatah tribe, Ali al-Tijani, said the attack left injuries and deaths on both sides.
