Darfur24-El-Geneina

Darfur24 has learned from reliable  sources that a number of judges working in the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State, and their families were transferred by military plane to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, after attacks on their homes by those fleeing tribal fighting in the city last week

However, communal violence in El Geneina last week led to the displacement of thousands of citizens to government institutions and the homes of government employees in the city center.

The sources said that a number of those fleeing attacks settled in the judges ’houses near the state police headquarters, while the security services rushed to provide protection for the judges and their families.
