Darfur 24-Khartoum

Khartoum Criminal Court has acquitted former minister Ali Majok al-Mumin and two pensioners of the armed forces of the charge of a coup attempt against the transitional government, and ordered their release.

Judge Jamal Sabdarat decided in today’s session at the court buildings in Khartoum to write off the indictment of the coup attempt against the former Federal Minister of Government, Ali Majwok al-Mu’min, Brigadier General Mustafa Mumtaz, Brigadier General  Khaled Mohamed Mustafa and others due to the weakness of the charges against them and ordered.

In mid-October, the security authorities arrested the former Federal Minister of Government and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, Ali Majuk al-Mu’min, and the two brigadier generals, Mustafa Mumtaz, and Khaled Mohamed Mustafa, on the grounds that they were accused of plotting a coup attempt to seize power in Sudan.
