August 17, 2021 (El-Genena) Special sources told Darfur 24 that On Tuesday the Sudanese-Chadian joint forces had arrested a Chadian officer accused of being involved in shooting at the Rapid Support Forces, killing one of its soldiers and seriously wounding another.
A member of the Rapid Support Forces RSF was killed and another one was seriously wounded when gunmen fired at them at the border strip with Chad.
Security sources told Darfur 24 that a member of the Rapid Support Forces deployed in the border area of Adikong was killed and another was seriously wounded ..
However, the assailants who were onboard a Land Cruiser
escaped after the attack.
The wounded soldier and the dead body were taken to the Medical Hospital in El-Geneina.
The border strip between Sudan and Chad has been a scene of repeated security incidents, as gunmen looted last Sunday dozens of heads of camels and crossed them into Chadian territory.
