August 16, 2021 (Khartoum)   Sudanese Prime Minister Dr.  Abdalla Hamdok has announced that the handover of former president Al Bashir to the International criminal court  ICC is subject to approval by both the transitional sovereignty council and the council of ministers.

He explained “consultations between the Council of Ministers and the Sovereign Council remain connected on all issues in order to address all issues that require approval by the two councils.

He stressed that the government provided “the committee, Nabil Adeeb, with everything it requested to help it accomplish its tasks without interfering in its affairs, because we believe that it should remain an independent committee.”

Among those who had previously been announced by the Sudanese Foreign Ministry that they would be handed over to the International Criminal Court was ousted President Omar al-Bashir and two of his aides.
