10.12.2021(Nyala) The resistance committees and independent youth in South Darfur state submitted an initiative to Darfur Governor Minni Arko Minawi aimed at stopping conflicts and tribal violence in the region and combating hate speech.
Youth representative, Ahmed Barima said during his meeting with the regional governor of Darfur in Nyala on Saturday, that the youth initiative, resorts to dialogue as an approach to address conflicts instead of panic and revenge.
For his part, governor of Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, said that the regional government is counting on the youth to build peace and tolerance in Darfur.
Minawi declared his adoption of the initiative and any other initiative aimed at stopping the war in the region, as he discussed the current political situation and its repercussions on security in Darfur.
