Khartoum, Jan.19 (Darfur24) Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) revealed that 60 demonstrators were injured by live bullets during  January 17 rally.

The international organization said that its teams worked hand in hand with the Ministry of Health to treat large numbers of wounded during the protests that took place in Khartoum last Monday.

Manager of Doctors Without Borders, Michel Oliver Lacharette, wrote on his facebook page  “On Monday, it was chaos in  Al-Tamayous  Hospital, where MSF teams were present, and the hospital was overcrowded with no less than 60 people were wounded by live bullets, and our teams saw six people killed.”

“Hospitals were not only dealing with the influx of wounded, but also with the crowds accompanying them who were angry at what happened,” Michel added.
