El-Fashir, Feb 13(Darfur24)The Steering Committees Association of North Darfur Doctors announced on Sunday that the strike at El Fasher Specialized Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, had been lifted.
El Fasher Specialized Hospital went on strike after a member of the Sudan Liberation Forces Movement attacked doctors last Tuesday.
The governor of North Darfur, Nimr Muhammad Abdul Rahman, issued a decision banning the entry of armed men to health facilities in the state.
The representative of the committee, Dr. Saleh Mahmoud, said that the lifting of the strike came after the governor responded to all the demands contained in the strike memorandum, most notably the arrest of the trespassers of the hospital’s medical staff, and bringing them to justice.
