El-Fashir, Feb 28(Darfur24) 19 passengers were killed and about 30 others were injured in two separate traffic accidents, on Sunday, on Khartoum – El Fasher road.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that one of the two accidents took place in the Umm Al Hussein area near the city of Al-Kuma, killing 11 people, while a collision of two buses in Umm Kadada area in North Darfur left 8 people dead.
Darfur24 learned from its sources that the first accident occurred because a cow appeared in the middle of the road, and when the driver tried to avoid it, he lost control of the bus, which led to its overturning.
Traffic accidents are frequent these days on the Khartoum-Al-Fasher road, where a traffic accident last week killed 12 people and injured scores of people.
The bodies and the wounded people were taken to the hospital in El Fasher for treatment and burial procedures.
