El-Fashir May 12 (Darfur24)Association of the steering committees of
medical and health cadres in North Darfur state adhered to their
demands represented in disbursing the infection allowance, the salary
difference for the months of March and April for the year 2022 , the
Eid al-Fitr grant teams, and the treatment of duplication in the
salary structure for the year 2020 and 2022 .
The medical cadres – in their meeting with the governor of the state
at El Fasher Teaching Hospital on Wednesday evening – excluded work at
the Kidney Center and the Blood and Tumor Bank, while all hospitals in
El Fasher are witnessing complete paralysis for the second day in a
row due to the strike.
The governor declared his solidarity with the workers, but indicated
that these demands are a central concern, even though his government
has spared no effort in order to continue the medical service for the
people of the state.
He stressed that the government is able to pay the April salary
difference now and to continue its efforts with the central government
to meet the rest of the medical staff’s demands.
