Lagawa, Lagawea(Darfur24) The Executive Director of Lagwa Locality in West Kordofan State, Awadallah Ahmed Khalil, appealed to humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene for the sake of thousands of citizens, who have become without shelter or food after their neighborhoods were burnt as a result of the bloody incidents that Lagwa witnessed on last Friday and Saturday.

Speaking   to Darfur 24, the Executive Director said that the city is witnessing relative calm today, Sunday, and that the state’s governor, Khaled Mohamed Geli, and members of his government will arrive to find out about the recent incidents that left  5  killed and wounded 9.

According to Awadallah ,  the clashes between the Misseriya and the Nuba, in which some houses were set on fire and some private properties were looted in the neighborhoods of “Kardfai and Debkaya,” before the military force in the area, consisting of the armed forces, rapid support and elements of the police intervened over the two days, separating the two conflicting parties and evacuating the injured.
