El-Fashir, June 1(Darfur24) The North Darfur State Security Committee
issued a decree  banning the movement of unregistered and unlicensed
cars known locally as “Boko”  in El Fasher and all localities of the
state.

Speaking to reporters ,  acting director of the state police,
Brigadier Abdul Rahman Al-Mahdi Hamad, said  North Darfur state
continued to witness frequent traffic accidents and incidents due to
“Boko” cars, which claimed the lives of many people.

The decision stated that in order to preserve the lives and property
of citizens, the State Security Committee decided to ban the use of
these unlicensed vehicles.
Hamad pointed out that the use of unlicensed vehicles was previously
prohibited by the Supreme Committee for the collection of weapons and
unlicensed vehicles.
