El-Geneina, June 13(Darfur24) The local government of Kulbus in West
Darfur state announced that the tribal fighting that took place in
some areas in Kulbus locality last week left 111 dead, more than 20
wounded,  22 villages burned , in addition to  displacement of 7,000
families.

He called on humanitarian organizations and official authorities to
intervene urgently in order to provide services, and Abdul-Rasoul
expected to find dead bodies after the increase in the number of
missing persons.
He pointed out that there are children – he did not mention their
number – missing and others who were unable to reach their families,
while the Deputy Executive Director of the locality of Darfur told 24
earlier that the local government had found 75 children aged between
10-17 years  in  the locality of Kulbus.

Abdul Rasoul stated that the situation is now safe and stable after
the deployment of security forces in a number of areas, adding that we
have installed 5 large military bases in large areas, in addition to
the presence of military helicopters roaming the areas of the
incidents.

He stressed that the security forces will deal decisively with any
manifestation of evasion, and indicated that the local government has
communicated with both sides of the conflict in order to calm
thoughts.
On the other hand, one of the leaders of the Nomadic Coordination,
Muhammad Zain Idris, said in statements to Darfur 24 that the
casualties of the nomadic Arabs in the fighting amounted to 24 dead.

He added that this step helped a lot to stop hostilities and forms of
fighting, and called on the parties to resort to the voice of reason
and to miss the opportunity for those who seek war between tribes.
