Khartoum, July 25(Darfur24) A number of Sudanese revolutionary bodies launched a new political alliance, which they called the “forces of radical change” alliance, in preparation for the overthrow of the   military government which took power the Oct 25.

The coalition included the Sudanese Professionals Association except for the legitimate Sudan Doctors Syndicate, the Economic Alliance for the Glorious December Revolution, the Alliance of Gezira and Mangal farmers, the Sudanese Women’s Union, the Martyrs and Revolutionaries Charter,  the Sudanese Communist Party, the Darfur Bar Association, the National Committee for the Dismissed, and the National Army for Freedom and Change as well as  Veterans and victims of war.

The Political Secretary of the Communist Party, Muhammad Mukhtar al-Khatib, said during a press conference on Sunday that all the objective conditions for overthrowing the coup regime have been completed.

He called on the political, professional, and trade union components of the Sudanese society and the resistance committees to engage in the fledgling alliance to bring about fundamental change that would achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people.

Referring to the early hijacking of the revolution by the “Al-Bashir” security committee, in partnership with the forces of soft landing, a petty bourgeoisie and a domesticated revolutionary front, subject to the dictates of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and free market policies, as he put it.

He stressed that under the current conditions, it is impossible for the government to continue in power.

Al-Khatib said that the alliance seeks for the masses to have a genuine right to make decisions and establish the state that the people aspire to.
