Khartoum, August 6(Darfur24) Media of Sudan’s Sovereign Council SSC revealed the most prominent decisions taken by the Security and Defense Council, in its joint meeting today, Friday with the Security Committee of West Darfur State, against the background of the incursion of sadistic armed groups into Sudanese territory in the Bir Saliba and Ardiba border areas between Sudan and Chad, killing 18 Sudanese herders and wounding 17 others.
SSC took a number of decisions to prevent the development of events, represented in continuing the political and diplomatic efforts to contain the situation and calm down, and urged the Chadian side to pursue the criminals and recover the stolen money as soon as possible, in addition to working to strengthen the capabilities and role of the Sudanese-Chadian joint forces .
The council listened to reports from the security services on the situation and expressed its regret over the incidents, sent condolence to the family of the deceased, expressing its concern over the development of the crisis and its sliding into a social conflict.

Speaking at the funeral of the murdered Sudanese herders , Dagalo described the incident as a violation of Sudan’s sovereignty, and said that the Security and Defense Committee must take measures and decisions regarding the incident.
