El-Daein, August 18(Darfur24)The youth of East Darfur State launched an initiative for peaceful coexistence and the rejection of tribalism and regionalism among the various tribal components of the state.
Member of the initiative, Mustafa Bakht, told Darfur 24 that the initiative includes about 400 young people from different tribes. It aims to support peaceful coexistence and reject hate speech among the citizens of the state.
Security tensions occurred between the Rizeigat and Ma’alia tribes three weeks ago, after farmers from the Rizeigat tribe were killed in a shooting dispute over the ownership of agricultural land with others from the Ma’alia tribe, before government authorities arrested nine people accused of shooting at farmers
