Kalimondu, August 24(Darfur24) Police in North Darfur State have arrested two young men accused of raping three girls .
On Monday, a number of young men raped three girls who went out to work in agriculture in Kalimandu locality, North Darfur.
While Idris Suleiman, one of the girls’ families, confirmed that the incident took place in the administrative unit of Umm Katkut, located on the border between the localities of Kalimandu and Tawisha, on Monday.
Idriss said the raped girls ,aged 14-16 were transferred to El-fashir for trreatment.
It is noteworthy that the Darfur region has been witnessing violations related to crimes against humanity, including rape, since the outbreak of civil war in 2003 , during Bashir regime , and until now, amid continuous demands for the perpetrators of those crimes to be held accountable.
