Kadugli, October 10(Darfur24) On Monday, the Services and Change Committee of the Dilling local market in South Kordofan, in coordination with the local Chamber of Commerce, announced the closure of the Dilling local market on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

 According  a statement issued by the Services and Change Committee, seen by Darfur24, that the closure and cessation of work and the practice of commercial activities come as a protest against the exorbitant taxes imposed by the Ministry of Finance.

 

 The tax increase announced by the Federal Ministry of Finance by 1000% caused a wave of strikes in the markets of a number of cities in the country, as it included the markets of the cities of Rabk, Qatina and Kosti, in the White Nile, Sennar, Gedaref, Damazin, Tambol, and Al-Abyad in protest against the tax increase.

 

 Ali Al-Amin Hassan, Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce in Dilling locality, told Dafour 24 that the reasons for closing the market are due to exorbitant taxes.
